Among the most important wetlands in Europe, Prespes is a point of interest due to its richness, but also the presence of internationally important populations of rare species.
 
Let the serenity of this place captivate you through a unique birdwatching experience by kayak! Look for birds in the shallow waters of Mikri Prespa, hidden in the reedbeds, in the port of Psarades, in the lakeside forest, in the estuary of the rivulet of Agios Germanos and in the forests of the area. Rare species that are famous among bird watchers are the Silver Pelican, which now breeds in Prespes for a significant proportion of the world’s population, the Rose Pelican, the Goose, the Gray Goose, Mallards and countless others.
